Spring Decor

I've had some Spring decorations out for a little while and haven't had time to post them. Have you all gotten yours out yet?
I had company for a few days from MI. It was fun to see my sister and niece, do a little shopping and of course, pig out a bit. My niece comes every Spring for a long weekend and her mom decided to join her this time. We had so much fun playing Mad Gab. Does anyone play that? We sounded like we were just learning to read sounding out the clues.

Here's a few of the things I have setting around the house.
This nest sets on our kitchen table. I found the birds at a material store that has a small gift area. I put this on a pedestal cake plate. A grouping on the kitchen counter. Plate was bought at Hobby Lobby with the weekly coupon. The little eggs under glass are candles that Ceekay from Thinkin' of Home sent me a few years ago.

On the kitchen island I grouped a bird house I painted with dried Hydrangeas (given by a friend) and a little bird's nest. The little bird's nest came three in a pkg. from Marshall's.

I have a long counter dividing the kitchen from the family room and set this green bunny with a moss egg I made last year and another nest. The egg is Styrofoam painted green and then moss glued on.

The dining room buffet.

The D.R. table.

Can't wait to get around and see all the cute Spring things out there. Have a safe week.

Happy St. Patrick's Day.
Well, you surely have inspired me to get busy and decorate for Spring.I have done some, but not finished as yet. Each and every vignette you have in your home is gorgeous. Such an eye for detail you have and I just love your decorating.

Yes, Mad Gab is fun, and like you said, it does sound like grown ups learning to read and sound out words. LOL!!But loads of fun. Sounds like you had a great visit with family.

Thank you for stopping by, always great to see you.
Have a great week and be sure to stop back by on Saturday for a Spring Cookie Party hosted by House in the Roses.
Hugs, Celestina Marie

Hello!
I'm a new visitor to your blog and WHAT FUN IT IS! Don't you love Spring? I actually love Fall best, but Spring is right up there too.
Your cute decorations and warm and inviting blog posts are very inspirational. If someone reads your spring posts and doesn't run out and buy some new decorations, they must not feel well.
Thank you for sharing! I had a great time and I'll be back for sure!!

SPRING has definitely SPRUNG! Closets are being cleaned out, flowers are being planted, everyone’s ready to freshen up. We’re all changing our ‘look” to welcome in a new season, now’s the perfect time to think of freshen up our homes as well.

Here’s an easy tip from the latest in home decorating: Instead of the tiresome business of slapping a new coat of paint on the walls, how about a quick and easy approach – new Wall Art ! Now that’s the way to go. Set the mood in a jiffy by finding just the right personal touch. It’s an easy way to rev up , revitalize or completely make over the look and feel of any room. So toss out that paintbrush and start hanging! … Just in time to show off the new you for Spring.

Start fresh with a blank wall or complement the old with the new. If you‘re not sure of how to place your art on the wall here’s another nifty trick – try laying it all out on the floor first, until you find a pattern that works, then hang it up. Keep your artwork at eye level. A common mistake in hanging is to place it too high. And consider if the room you are decorating is a room where you will mostly be seated, eye level should be lower.

If you are considering color choices, warm colors are getting the decorator’s nod this year. Rich chocolates, shades of gold and wood tones create walls that say “This is the perfect place to curl up with a good book and an iced coffee”.

If you’re into cool colors for your freshen up project, hydrangea blue gives rooms a crisp, clean look. White stripes, pale plaids and floral patterns make rooms happy and upbeat. This mix of colors brings the newness of spring inside. Then add a personal touch of elegance with framed black & white photos and you’ve got the perfect setting for a real family sit-down meal!

Before the tulips have poked their heads up from under the soil, you can have a new look that is “fresh as a daisy” It doesn’t take a lot of time, a large budget or new piece of furniture to get fantastic results. The walls will speak for themselves. Fabulous!
