Tablescape Thursday & Foodie Friday

The Tuesday before Easter Ceekay arrived and I had dinner waiting for her. I did a simple tablescape with an Easter centerpiece.

Black plates on black chargers with green salad plates.

The bunny plate was a gift from my Mom many years ago.

A simple rose napkin ring from J.C. Penny.

I made these eggs a few years back from Styrofoam eggs covered in moss.

I had Cranberry /Orange Chicken. It is a simple delicious recipe. Very moist!

Step #1

Step #2 Bake and enjoy! Recipe below.

Cranberry/Orange Chicken
Layer in a 13 x 9 pan:
8 chicken breasts (defrosted)
1 can of Mandarian oranges (drained)
1 can whole cranberry sauce
1 envelope onion soup mix
1 bottle Russian dressing (8oz) (the one that looks like thousand island dressing)

Cover and bake at 350 for 45 minutes to an hour.... check for doneness
You can uncover for part of the time if it needs to brown a little.

Serve over rice. I use long grain wild rice.
I'm linking to Susan @ Between Naps on the Porch for Tablescape Thursday and Michael @ Designs by Gollum for Foodie Friday.

Black and green is such a sophisticated color combination. A refreshing change from the typical pastels of Easter. I love the pop of color from the napkin rings!

The chicken looks delicious. It seems simple enough that even I couldn't mess it up!
