Family Time

This is Ivy, our 9 month old grand baby. I couldn't believe her mother caught this pose showing her 9 teeth. Both our girls got their teeth early and all 4 grandchildren started at 4 mos., as well.
We have been helping with the grand kids lately do to a problem our daughter has been experiencing. We had them over the other night at bath time and hubby caught this cute picture of Jonas in the water. Both the kids have such big blue eyes. I hope Ivy is as blessed as Jonas with those longgggggg eyelashes. Hers are starting to grow now. We'll see....

On Sunday, Ivy was dedicated by her parents to be raised in a Godly Christian home. She wore a dress that the other two granddaughters have worn at their dedication services in the past.

She was entertaining the choir in this next picture.

We came out of church Sun. evening to a beautiful sunset at the end of a beautiful day! God's handiwork for us to enjoy.

If I could pick your brains for a moment, I'd like to hear if any of you have heard of this condition of the hands called Dyshidrosis-Pompholyx. It can affect the feet as well. It is not like regular eczema. Our daughter Sarah seems to be affected by it since giving birth. The hands can blister, peel, and be very painful, hence, why we are bathing the children. We have tried to find a remedy to help her but it seems to be rare, only 20 people out of 100,000. Dermatologists prescribe cortisone cream but it is just a band aid.
She has tried coconut oil and it works as well as the steroid creams.
I know someone may have heard of something that has worked for you or someone you know and we would be grateful to hear from you.
Thanks for taking the time to listen. I appreciate each and every comment.

What beautiful pictures of your grandchildren! Love the one of the little boy in the water! So sorry your daughter is going through such a painful experience! I have never heard of it! I pray she'll find some relief. But how wonderful that you and hubby are nearby to help her! Love the pictures of the boat ride. Great waterfalls! Seems like a fun day! Enjoy your day!

Hello Rose,
I'm not sure I have ever seen prettier children or such gorgeous blue eyes and lashes! ~WOW! They are both so beautiful.

Thank you for your sweet words about my hubby! Oh we are hoping and praying. It would be a dream come true for him for sure. He is so smart and a hard worker. Time will tell. The field is very competitive and they only pick a select few so we'll see.

I'm so sorry about your DIL. I have not heard of that condition but it sounds so painful. Ouch! I'll pray for her full recovery.

~Blessings,. ~Melissa :)

What a terrible condition for her hands - really tough with children to care for! I wish I knew something to help. It would be nice if they had a cure since they have a name for it!

All 4 of our grandgirls have long gorgeous eyelashes, too. One of my brothers did as a kid - the girls teased him so much that he took a pair of scissors and cut them off straight across when he was 12. They never grew back so beautiful. Silly boy!

I love it that your church still has a choir - ours does and we feel very rare - I love singing in choir. Choir practice always makes me feel better in the middle of the week.

As for your question - yes, the router seems to have solved the problem - after all that!!

Boy, never a dull moment at your house! LOL!

Little Ivy looks so adorable, what a darling dress and hat!

Nice "Dedication" pictures! Love the one of Jonas in the tub, those eyelashes sure stand out!

I haven't heard of the problem she has on her hands so I don't know of a remedy. All I can think of is aloe, do you have an aloe plant? It's best to use the inside of the plant instead of the lotions with it. They grow well here in FL.

Hi Rose, What beautiful grandchildren you have! I wish I had their eyelashes!

I've never heard of that condition before, my hubby has had a bad rash on his hands for several months. They crack and itch like crazy! He has tried corozone cream too and it doesn't work. Your daughter's condition sounds alot worse though, I hope she gets it cleared up soon! I told Kevin he really needs to see a Derm. soon, he is always making me scratch him!LOL...

Thanks for your kind words on my blog! Kristen

What little dolls! And yes, those eyelashes are to die for! I think Ivy looks like you, Ro. The pictures from the baby dedication were so lovely. The days our granddaughters were dedicated remain two of the most special in my memories. Lovely post, Ro.

Not familiar with the hand problem. Praying someone out in blog world is and can help.

What cute pictures! I have always heard that teeth are hereditary. Seems like that is true in your family!

Thank you for your prayers and sweet comment.
