Anniversaries

Today is our youngest daughter's ninth wedding anniversary. Where has time gone?
Happy Anniversary Sarah and Joe!
Did you know that this year is the 100th anniversary of the invention of the first commercially-successful electric toaster? A man named Frank Shailor developed his electric toaster, the "D-12," at General Electric How about a game of Tic Tac Toast? Two people, armed with peanut butter and jelly could have a battle of early morning wits....

How about this clear one. You would never have to pop a piece up to see if it's brown enough.

This contraption that allows you to write on bread through the use of a mounted hot-air gun.

Imagine finding messages from your spouse on your morning toast — Take Out the Trash!

Here is a clock, if it fits your decor.

What if companies made them with their logo imprint.

Here's Hello Kitty sold at Target.

This is just a few I thought you might enjoy seeing.
Hope you're having a good week so far!

Happy Anniversary to your daughter! What a beautiful bride! The info on the toaster was interesting. I wonder what his wife was thinking as he was inventing?? Probably thinking there are better things he could be doing! But so thankful we have toasters and all the wonderful modern conveniences I couldn't live without. Enjoy your day!!!

Congratulations to Sarah and Joe!

Neat post on toasters! I'm sure Tom will have to get the one that writes messages, looks like something he would love! I like the clear one, and the Hello Kitty is so cute!

Fun post!

Beautiful daughter. Congratulations to them. Thanks for sharing and entertaining me with the history of one of my favorite kitchen friends. It will be hard to face just plain ol' toast in the morning, now that I know what I could have. :)

You have made me look at my morning toast in a new light.

Thanks for visiting my blog. I'm not sure what or if there is a difference between cobwebs and spiderwebs. I have both, but my problem is with what I call cobwebs...they are like magnets for pet hair, leaves, anything in the air. They form in corners, under my wicker chairs, etc. I have a post "My Backyard" that shows the final phase..to this point...the screened-in arbor. I love it when it's clean, but it's just a pain to maintain. I'm sure if I had it totally closed in with doors, it would help, but my dogs love to sleep on the cool floor, so I haven't put doors up yet.

What a great post, Ro. Your beautiful daughter looks like her mama! Our daughter and her husband celebrated their 8th anniversay this summer. Isn't it amazing that it feels like we really should still be planning their weddings?

Have a wonderful new week...Kathy

Happy Anniversary to your children.

I like the Hello Kitty toaster but I wouldn't like it on my counter. I just have a cheap one but it has lasted forever. The thing I dislike about it is the outside of it gets hot.
