Fresh Fruit and Veggies

There's nothing like home grown tomatoes and fresh fruit for the summer months. We are enjoying the taste, smell and color of our tomatoes this year. We only have a couple of containers but they are yielding more than we can eat for the two of us.

They taste so much better than the store bought ones.

They look like a tomato compared to the light colored ones in the store. Why is that? They are much more juicy, as well.We have a pineapple just about every week. Hubs likes to cut them up for us. They are so sweet and good. We bought a pineapple slicer from Pampered Chef. Though pricey it has been a great investment.

He loves the way everything is done for him. lol

He took all these pics and told me they were for my blog. He's catching on, isn't that sweet?

It's great with granola, fruit and nuts in the mornings.

We have had 6 watermelons since the summer began. We keep some in the frig. in the kitchen and some in our frig. in our bedroom sitting area. It's always on hand. lol

Thanks for stopping by. I love hearing from all of you. Enjoy your week.

I didn't know Pampered Chef had a pineapple cutter. I have the one for apples and couldn't live without it...

Hi Rose,
It is wonderful to be able to walk out your door pick something fresh and have it ready to eat in a matter of moments.
We love pineapple too and I really like the way you have presented it.
I was smiling when you were telling of your husband taking pictures and wanting you to put them on your blog, My dh does this all the time, even when we are traveling, he will say"that would look nice on your blog."He has been so supportive even when I was up late posting.
In looking over your blog and seeing you two together it seems that you have so much fun together, just as we do , he will sit with me through an auction and say " just let me know if you want me to bid on anything". I don't know if it is the thing of competing with other guys in a bidding war or not because when he is bidding and he knows I want something he will go beyond the price we said we would pay. I have to then give him that wifely nudge! LOL.
Thank you for visiting , and for leaving me such a sweet comment.

Thank you for sharing.
Sue

Your tomatoes look great. We have been enjoying all of the wonderful produce that is available in the summer. The corn and watermelon seem to be especially good this year. The pineapple cutter looks like a great tool to have on hand. How cute that your husband is getting in on the blogging too. We all know how addictive it can be :-)

I love that pineapple cutter! My friend, Jenny, just became a consultant for Pampered Chef recently. The girls have loved our buying a fresh pineapple several times recently. I hate trying to cut them up with a knife. Maybe I'll check into this gadget! Oh, love those tomatoes too.
