Tablescape Thursday

A big thanks to Susan at http://betweennapsontheporch.blogspot.com/ for hosting Tablescape Thursday. Please stop over to see all the lovely tablescapes. We had an evangelist over the other night for a fish dinner, hence my nautical tablescape.

I bought the dinner plates, tray and fish dishes at Home Goods on clearance. The silverware came from TJ Maxx.
I gathered all my sea shells and filled a glass vase for my centerpiece and set it on the tray with loose shells surrounding it.

I've had this cute little candle for years.

A cute little glass fish plate on a stand.

A white battenberg napkin with blue wood napkin ring.

I have a lot of little lighthouses and used them as name card holders and put a battery operated candle at each place setting.
A little three compartment dish that came from Home Goods, as well.

The fish dish.

I decorated the pass through island with some nautical things, too. A plate, buoy, ship, lighthouses and a little Ahoy sign that was given to me from Ceekay.

Thanks for visiting today. Don't forget to visit other tablescapes and get wonderful ideas.

Ro, this is just as cute as can be! I'm sure that "fisher of men" was appreciative. It is truly perfection... the little candles, the dishes, just everything! Cute! Cute! Cute!

Happy Tablescape Thursday...

XO,

Sheila :-)

Love all the blue!! Very nice!

Who was the evangelist?? Just curious. Growing up in a pastor's home we were always having someone stay over. Missionaries, pastors, evangelists, etc. I always knew someone was coming for Sunday dinner when I would help my mom unpack the groceries. If I saw a can of black olives, I knew we were having company!

Enjoyed your pictures!!

Hi Rose,
Doing a little catching up tonight, first let me wish you and your husband a very Happy 39th Anniversary, and it looked as though you both had a wonderful fun filled day, beautiful picture of both of you. Your wedding photos were great too.
I know you are so proud of him to be able to sing the National Anthem at the stadium.

Now as to your Tablescape Thursday you did such a wonderful job of putting everything together, beautiful shades of blue, and the theme was perfect.
Blessings,
Sue

Blues... so "blue"-tiful. (Oy, bad joke!) Love the fish and water theme -- very appropriate considering your guest, a fisher of men!
