Apples

These are a couple items in my kitchen that I painted years ago when I first started painting. My kitchen is done in apples and fruit. In fact, my whole house has fruit in most of the rooms, in one form or another. It's a reminder to me to live the fruits of Spirit. (I fall so short at times.)

This little cabinet has a little boy up in the apple tree picking apples, while some fall to the ground for the little girl to pick up and put in her apron with two little bunnies looking on. It has a couple of shelves in it for storage.

This is a lazy susan that I painted in 1987. All the children are doing different tasks with apples. One is cooking in a pot and says apple butter under it. The other sayings are applesauce, apple jelly, & apple pie written around the edges.

I didn't need to use it as a lazy susan so I put it on a stand and put it on the kitchen counter. (Ceekay's idea)

Setting on the kitchen counter in the corner.

This is a grouping on the counter (with fruit) and a Norman Rockwell plate. My husband saw the apple slices in a gift shop and had to buy them. They fool most people that visit.

Another little grouping on the counter has a tea pot, a pewter plate that was handmade by being hand punched and a fruit vine.

I hope you've been having a good and productive week. Enjoy the weekend with family and friends. See ya next time.

How beautiful! It's nice to find something you'd like to collect and then have it reflected in your kitchen decoration, especially if you've been able to paint it yourself.

You are a talented artist. I am hopeless with arts and crafts, but used to be a killer with a needle and thread or yarn.

My niece reminded me that it was Gunne Sax - I was relieved to have that mystery solved.
