Memorial Day

It's a time to remember those that have and are serving our great country! I'm so proud of those that make that sacrifice to keep us safe in our homeland. Whenever Hubs and I see a solider in uniform we stop to say "Thanks for Serving"! You can see that smile of appreciation cross their face. In honor of them, Memorial Day, Flag Day and 4th of July we decorate to celebrate them.

This is the front of our house. This year we added the bunting to the front porch. I've always wanted them but didn't want to spend for them, I guess. Kohl's just had them 1/2 off. I had to go get them.
The flag on the door I painted in 1991 during Desert Storm.

We've had a lot of military men in our family, including my hubby. Our son-in-law still wears the uniform of a policeman, hence the policeman statue in the flower bed.

I decided to keep all the flowers in yellow and red this year. Hubby just finished planting around the tree.

These are in the front flower beds.

Thanks for taking a look at my Show & Tell. Please visit all the others at Kelli's There is no place like home .
Have a great Memorial Day!

Thanks for checking out Chase's recital, he thanks you too! I bet your girls are awesome! I think that is great that they stuck with it for so many years. Chase is really not wanting to practice lately, we are just trying to encourage him. He has the ability to be really good someday.

I love the front of your house! It's so pretty especially with all the flowers. I am still planting! The back is done, just need to change out some of the pansies in the front. Have a great memorial weekend! Kristen

Hi Ro, Your front porch looks wonderful and I love how the bunting looks. You have the perfect spot for displaying those too. Your new plantings look so pretty. Love your flag painting on the door. We keep our flag up year round with a spotlight.
Yes, we do the same greeting when we see a military person. Always extend our thanks for keeping us free.

Hope you have a great holiday weekend and blessings always.
