Emma's Birthday

I can't believe 9 years has passed since our first grandchild was born. It was a joy for me, being in the delivery room, to witness my first born giving birth to her first child.

She was such a delightful baby. She had a winsome personality and loved to make you laugh.

Here is a baby pic of her.

She always likes to pretend and once she sets her mind to it, she
can put herself into a roll and make you believe the part she's playing. She's got a sweet protective side and is a good big sister.
She's looking so grown up out on the town to meet "The Little Mermaid", Jodi Benson.

She's a good student. She always had a book in her hand while we were visiting in CA. A couple of mornings I came downstairs and she was reading the LA Times. No kidding!!! I told her she probably didn't need to be reading that. (smile)

Here she is behind her school desk.

With much love----HAPPY, HAPPY BIRTHDAY EMMA!!!

OH What a precious Emma.
She is a delight and so beautiful..I know the joy of being a grandmother and even a great-grandmother.. I even have adopted grandchildren and they are as precious as our biological grandchildren.
So I know the joys of all the greats... love all of them and spoil them with whatever they want to do at " Nana's "... LOL

Happy Birthday to Emma! She's a cutie! Reads the LA Times?? Next it will be The Wall Street Journal!! (Sarah Palin could have used her!! LOL!)

P.S. - I did get a few pictures of Caden in his turkey and pilgrim hats, but they were blurry, and he was so fast, the hats weren't necessarily on his head in the pictures! Ha! (like around his neck and/or over his eyes!) I'm going to use them in the photo album anyway!

Happy Birthday to your sweet Emma.
She looks so delightful. I know you are so proud of her. I loved this post and what a wonderful tribute to your first grandchild. She is very blessed to have you in her life.
Lots of good wishes to her always.
Nine is a special year since it is the last time in our lives that our age is a single digit number. Makes it kind of special to be nine.
hugs and enjoy your week.
