Here's another piece of furniture I purchased at an estate sale many, many years ago. Nothing has been done to the wood but I have covered the seat to match at least three other rooms over time. It's been a country blue and a cream and burgundy stripe over the years. This time we put it in our bedroom to have a place to rock our grand babies upstairs if need be.It has the old springs or coils under it and some would say not as comfortable as the modern rockers but I love to rock in it. It's probably 70 or more years old.

I'll take a couple of cookies, a diet coke and let's watch Oprah! Of course, beautiful as always!
Your room looks so cozy and your chair looks perfect in there! Thank you for sharing.
I love rocking chairs. What a great find for you!
Lovely!

Lovely room, and a rocking chair is a comfortable item to have. We still have the one I rocked my 12 year old in when she was a babe.
I like the chair and LOVE the room! The color combo is one of my favs. Hope that you are having a lovely weekend.

What a lovely chair & a lovely room for it to go in!
For your daily dose of vintage goodness & a bit of silliness, stop by Confessions of an Apron Queen, the home of Vintage Thingies Thursdays.
Thanks for sharing your antique rocker. What a beautiful sitting room.

Oh my gosh the red is nearly the same. I love it!!!! So nice to meet you and thank you for stopping by my blog. I am originally from Mich. but I did not know that artist. I love your sitting room's cozy feeling. I could spend lots of time there. Your red ceiling is exactly the style of our master. I painted mine like the sky with soft clouds. Wonderful to wake up too. The tea party looks divine. What fun the little ones must have had. I have so enjoyed by visit here and look forward to coming back often.
