Pumpkin Tree

After seeing this in a Florist shop, I took an old small Christmas tree and turned it into a pumpkin tree. Ceekay was visiting from AZ and we were shopping and saw this idea! We left there and bought the ribbon, picks, etc. to make our own. We both already had trees. The shop priced theirs at $300, if you can believe it. That wasn't happening! lol I had the ribbon already and found picks for half off so my cost was under $18.oo. Huge difference!!
I put mine up in the hallway before entering our bedroom.

You can use almost anything for a topper. I chose cattails for the Fall look.

You can add Fall flowers, picks, lights, pumpkins, etc. (I used white lights instead of orange so it would be ready to switch out the picks to Christmas ones.

Daytime shot. Added a brown cloth skirt and pumpkins at the base. Super easy!

Let me know if any of you make one. Would love to see your pictures!

How neat. (Still have a hard time using the term cool). It really is "cool" though. I've heard there will be a shortage of pumpkin this year. Went to two different stores yesterday looking for canned pumpkin but they didn't have it. I always make pumpkin pies for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Hope the pumpkin is available this year.

Charlotte

Beautiful! I need to send your blog address to my sister. She loves to put up trees in every room of her house at Christmas. I'm not sure she has thought of one for fall though!

Hi Rose, I love your pumpkin tree. Just darling there by the entry of your master.
I have not done this, but I may have to gather items to do one next year. Do you change it up for other holidays like Valentine's, St. Patty's etc? or do you put it away decorated till next year?

Thank you for sharing such great ideas.
Hugs, Celestina Marie

I saw a tree decorated for fall at Hobby Lobby, and wanted to have one too. but thought theirs was too large, but after seeing your beautiful tree I might just try it, that is if I can ever finish with canning produce. lol thanks for sharing this idea,. You are so gifted.

That is such a cute idea. Too bad my faux trees are still buried in the garage somewhere or I'd be copying that idea, too. I enjoyed your fall table, and have some of those same dishes from Walmart. I hope they have them again this year because I would like to get a few more. Have a great weekend!
