Tablescape Thursday

We invited a couple over for dinner the other night and I put together this tablescape and thought I'd share it with you.

There's flowers and fruit on the tablecloth , so thought I'd stick to that theme and use a candle centerpiece surrounded by fruit.

I bought these monogramed plates at Kirkland a while back. I also used monogramed coasters from Tuesday Morning with cyrstal stemmed glasses.

Pretty floral napkin rings from Penny's, slipped onto black napkins.

A little candlelight to set the mood for the evening.

Stop by Susan's @
Between Naps on the Porch for lovely tables that have been posted.

Thanks for taking time to let me know you paid a visit. Love hearing from you!

Very pretty....I love the black. Those "J" plates are lovely. My last name begins with a J as well. Gonna have to check Kirklands when I go to SC this summer. We dont have one up here in NJ. Beautiful table!

I don't see black in many tablescapes, but I must admit, you make it look really nice. Love those monogrammed plates. Thanks for sharing!

What a wonderful tablecloth! You did a great job highlighting it with your centerpiece and flower napkin rings. The black adds great drama!

I want to come to dinner at your house! It would make me feel so special! If you cook half as well as you decorate, it would be an evening fit for a queen.

Thanks for your tips on Disney World! I have heard about the fast pass...I'm sure we will take advantage of it. I have a thin Nike drawstring backpack I will be taking for extra food and water. My dad purchased the Disney dining plan, so our meals are included...but I have low blood sugar and will need to take bars with us in case I have a weak spell.

Kevin's uncle is taking care of our yard and animals. I have anxiety about it! I soak each flower really good...he better come over before we leave so I can show him how I do it! lol...I bet everything will be ripening in the garden too...and poor little Sassy will be so depressed. Oh well, I'll try not to worry too much! Thanks for your visit! Kristen

Yes, I agree with Cynthia. It does have a dramatic look but in the best way. Reminds me to the flemish flower and fruit paintings. Really impressive table.
