Cleaning Project

It all started when I said to DH that we should get a small shed to put the lawn mower, yard equipment, etc. in. He gave me that look like-- what for? Everything is fine where it is. lol
I told him we could organize things better if we had shelves in the garage. I also said we wouldn't have to store so many things in the attic. They would be very accessible, even for me, if he wasn't around.
He finally came around and we put up this small shed in the backyard. It really has so much room and everything for yard work will handier for him, too.
This is the mess in the garage while Christmas decorations were down, hubby had hunting garb down, and we were filtering through things to throw out. So it looks extra bad in this pic.

We purchased some more shelves from good ole Sam's Club along with some tubs from Walmart and it looks so much better, don't you think?

This is another wall of the garage. I color coordinate the tubs according to the holiday. Ex., orange and black has all my Fall decorations and the blue ones has all my snowmen items.
If you look back at the previous post, you'll see I have way more red and green tubs. lol
We put up a board with hooks to hold the large wreaths that we put on the windows outside at Christmas.

I have been in the cleaning mood lately. Anyone else out there doing this?
I've cleaned out several kitchen cupboards and closets.
It's not Spring yet--but we have had fun watching all the bird activity in our backyard recently.
See the prettty Cardinal near the bird feeder? They are our morning entertainment while we eat breakfast.

He just flew over to the clock. I am reminded often by my hubby that the males always have the more striking colors. lol

This birdie likes object hopping.

How's your week going thus far?
Please let me know you stopped by, so I can come pay you a visit.

What a cute shed and a wonderfully organized garage. You had a great idea there. You know I'm right with you on the cleaning mood. Doing that post on my bathroom made me clean in there and I even tackled the linen closet which was in desparate need of a cleaning. LOL. Speaking of bathrooms, those bathrooms in your last post were unbelievable. I was all set to leave a comment on them when my husband came in the door and I had to tend to dinner.
I love your cardinal pictures. We enjoy feeding and watching the birds too.

I got my Christmas stuff much more organized this year, so that was great. I've bought quite a few more tubs so that I can get the basement organized this year. I did get going on my photos, so that feels good.

I'd love to have a nice shed like that. We looked at them at Home Depot, but haven't sprung for one yet.

It's looking good! Of course, I thought it looked good when we were there! Joe is real good at organizing all our stuff in the attic, all the boxes are numbered, and he has a sheet with the numbers all in order, with what's in each box.

I like the outside clock!

No, I'm not in a cleaning mood! I still haven't decorated everything again since I put the holiday stuff away. We still seem to be on the go all the time.

Doing the tabletops weekly is slowly getting things done again, I want to do some new and different things everywhere.

I love how organized everything is! We did the same organizing in our basement storage room right before hubby left and it is very nice. Hubby got quite attached to MY label maker and wouldn't even let me use it!

Love those shelves! I've seen them at Sam's and would love to get rid of the plastic ones we have in our garage! Maybe when hubby comes home. Great job! Looks very nice!

Great job with the organizing. I wish I had your cleaning bug. All I do is rearrange. Hopefully by the end of the week I will get the cleaning bug. You are inspiring me.
hugs,
Sue

Your garage looks fabulous after your early Spring cleaning, RO. Our garage and basement are at the top of our list and we can't wait until Spring for those jobs either - disaster areas! We are planning to dig in next week. After Christmas I always get the "Spring" cleaning bug, even though it's 5 degrees here tonight! Great job, lady.

ps...Did you remind your hubby that males may wear the colorful jackets, but it's the ladies with the clever and creative minds?!

I forgot to thank you, Ro, for asking about my dad so often and for your prayers for him. He is doing much better. He's amazing. The grandchildren tell him he "takes a lickin' and keeps on tickin'!

We'll do our pole barn in the spring. I'm finally going to follow Peter Walsh's advice and put everything outside to sort.

Our barn is 30 x 40 and that can hold a ton of stuff...

You garage looks wonderful!
