Happy Fall Y'all

It's that time of the year! The leaves are turning, some are falling, the air is crisper at night and it's time to decorate for Fall.
There's a longer window of time for your decor to stay out , so it makes it soooo worth while to pull out the tubs and start the process. Really, these decorations are up longer than Christmas. I have so many more at Christmas to get out, for a shorter time span.
I mentioned last year that I try to buy colored tubs for each occasion. It makes it easier for me to find my things. I keep them in the garage and pull them down but only bring in one at a time to avoid too much clutter, in case I get called away to something else. You know how that goes. lol
I put a piece of paper in each tub to let me know which room the items go to.
I 'll show you the kitchen in this post and hope I don't bore you with too many pictures. This is a shot from the Family Room into the kitchen.

This is a centerpiece on our kitchen island. Hubby got into the act again, which is fine with me, and made this arrangement. Since he isn't working now, he wants to get into the hubbub of things.

This sets on the pass-through adjoining the family room. I'll same that room for another day.

I did little groupings around the kitchen counters for eye appeal. There's so much white in the kitchen, it brings in color, as well.

There are so many Fall plates and items to bring in the warmth of Fall.

A Lazy Susan that I painted years ago. The children are doing different chores with apples.

It's the time for apple picking, Carmel apples and apple cider. I love 'em all!

This is one of the kitchen chargers, also used on the tablescape.

I put my rooster plates on a small wall as you enter from the garage. They'll find a new home, again when the Christmas plates come out of hiding.

The Fall tablescape.

This little guy sets on my windowsill. Always greets me with this smile in the mornings.

Mickey is always ready to make my cooking a little more pleasant, smiling at me from the stove top.
I found him last year at Disneyland. He was begging for someone to give him a real home. I couldn't resist that face.
How's all your decorating going? A few more days and it's officially Fall 'yall.
Can't wait to see all your beautiful things.
Thanks for all your visits and comments.

Enjoyed your post today!
All looks great.

Sure puts me into the mood to do more decorating around the home front. I've gotta get my scarecrows out and about.

This month is getting away from me so fast.

Your tablescape is so very pretty! Liked seeing what you did.
The orange is festive and adds a bit of cheer.

Blessings and Happy Fall to you as well,
d

Oh my what a happy home! And a talented husband to boot! It looks very festive!
I have to bring it all in at once, unload all of them, and then decorate. (except Christmas, that's very specific what goes where) Cause every year I add a little something and that changes everything around.
Well . . . except for Christmas. I have like 35 tubs of Christmas (no lie!) and if I bought even one more thing, you'd see me on the evening news. "Husband shoots wife as Christmas decor runs amuck!" :)

I always look forward to your holiday decorations. They look fantastic as always. In fact, I'm copying some of your Fall ideas from last year. Now I really want to copy your table. I need to go shopping.

Isn't Autumn such a wonderful time of the year?! I started pulling out my decorations last weekend. Your idea of using different colored tubs for seasonal decorations is a good one. As it stands, my tubs are all the same color and I have to open each one (a big chore when they're stacked floor to ceiling in a big shed) in order to find what I'm looking for. Great post!

Thanks for sharing your kitchen. You've inspired me to get my fall things out. I usually wait so long into the season that it's too late and I skip fall and go right for the Christmas.

Hi Rose,
Beautiful decorations, and please tell your dh what a great job he did too. I took a peek at you kitchen and just loved it, if we ever redo ours I am certainly going to go with white, My dh is also into helping me, especially the outside.
Love your header, and am thinking about changing mine to somethings that I did around home. It just seems more personal when your header is about your life and home. Besides the pic. I downloaded is slowing my computer down.
Great idea of color coding your decoration boxes to the seasons.
Commenting on Jonas fishing with his grandpa, just looooved it Rose he is so adorable especially the pic. with him and his fish.

Rose, did you ever get my two emails, if not , maybe you can help me figure out what I am doing wrong. remember i am not the best computer person.lol I hope the directions I gave on how to get to my home didn't fall into the wrong hands. LOL
Blessings,
Sue

Everything looks great! I'm still not in the mood for fall, haven't even started decorating, still too hot here. I really like that candle lantern, where did you find it? Cute Mickey jack-o-lantern too!

Tell Tom if he keeps up the decorating, he will have to start his own blog! He can share all his floral designs! He's pretty good at it, too!

I absolutely love your fall decor. Never too many pictures. I stop by your blog often, always in a hurry and never much time to leave a comment. But, I enjoy all your post. I seldom get a chance to post on my blog, but I enjoy reading others.

Happy Fall!

The more the merrier when it comes to pictures ~ especially when they are as lovely as yours. The tablescape is GORGEOUS!! I think it is so cute how hubby is getting in on the act. I love everything you have done. Your little Happy Harvest pumpkin is so sweet and Mickey is adorable.

To answer your question on the lighted garland, I ordered it through QVC and it is made by Bethlehem Lights. If you need any further info, just ask.

Have a nice weekend.

Just beautiful. I have my little bit of stuff out. Little fingers make it too hard for me to do too much. But you have little fingers around, too, and you have so many beautiful things!
