Summertime

I can't believe it's been over a month since my last post! Time sure flies, doesn't it?
The summer is always more busy than other times of the year. So much outside work to be done, gardens to tend, vacations to take, company to house, etc. It's been a busy time and hard to get it all in.
We needed to go see my mother in FL after Ceekay left, so we stopped in Charleston, SC on the way down.
Our friends had a timeshare that they couldn't use at the last minute and offered it to us. WHO COULD REFUSE THAT! LOL So off we went to stay at The Lodge Alley Inn.

We stopped at Bubba Gump's for lunch...... Went to the waterfront for a stroll....

Flowers were everywhere....

No shortage of beautiful homes.....

Or scenery....

Historic cobble stone streets.....

Old brick walls.....

Beautiful brides in alley ways getting portraits done...

And, of course, the famous Market Place for shopping.

Charleston is known for their many gates. The gate designs are also used on buildings or windows, as shown below.

We didn't want to leave Charleston without doing a dinner cruise this time around. It was a gorgeous evening for a trip around the harbour.

Since we came home we've done some projects around the house that I will share soon.

I hope you are all enjoying your summer and good weather!

Those window gates are just like my necklace. I love the boxes of flowers - how full they are!

Hi Sweet Friend,
I am so happy to see you tonight as I was just asking Ceekay if you were on vacation since I had not seen new posts.
So glad you had a lovely time in SC. Your pics are great and you and your hubby look beautiful.
I bet you are busy and getting ready for your daughter.
We have been doing home projects too. Finished another bathroom redo and I will show that next week.

Have a happy and safe 4th of July. Enjoy your daughter and the grands.
Thank you for stopping by .
Hugs from a very HOT Texas.
102 today!!
XO Celestina Marie
p.s. I am feeling great and doing much better.

That looks like so much fun! We've been to Savannah and just loved it. I've heard that the two cities are similar.
