Back From My Blogging Break

Hello to everyone and Happy New Year again. I hope your New Year is off to a great start.
We just came back from sunny CA seeing these guys and I'll have lots to post from our two week stay----but first.....
What's going on in the deep south? Does anyone know??? lol
This little guy really takes his sign to heart. I only put him out to be whimsical not to be literal. lolWow! What a shock the Carolinas got this week. No one was moving for the first couple of days and school is still out for the fourth day.

It's pretty to look at but treacherous to maneuver on. We don't have much in the way of salt trucks or plows. We've lived here for 16 yrs. and have not received this many inches. We didn't even get mail for two days. lol

My little gazebo stays this way year round because we can use it on sunny days.

Hubby went out to get a measurement for me.

I did get my Christmas decorations down while being housebound, now I get back to blogging again. I'll be around to visit you soon.
Stay warm and safe!

Yes, I question if this is the south? Cute with the snowman sign you put out.

Welcome back Rose, I wish you could have brought back some of that warm weather. Your photos are beautiful, with the ice on top of the snow, it has been a slow warm up. Looking forward to seeing photos of your trip. For today stay warm!!

That's a lot of snow! We had about 5 inches, but the worst part was the 1/4" layer of ice on top of the snow! School was only out for 3 days and the roads are clear. Our lawn still has sheets of ice all over it, but hopefully will melt soon! Thanks for stopping by...regarding polishing silver, flatware, small platters and napkin rings are pretty easy to polish, but larger items with decorations with a lot of crevices are horrible! If I add anymore pieces, the design on them will be very simple. Storing silver properly is really the key, though.

Happy New Year Girlfriend,
So glad you had a wonderful time in CA. Love the pics and the fun you had.
How about that snow. WOW you sure got hit. Like us, it is very unusual. Not salt or plows here either. They do throw sand, but it doesn't really help. We get ice too, but so far none of that yet this year. Just bitter cold temps now.
Loved the pics in your post from the symphony.

Great header you added for winter.
Thank you for stopping by.
Yes, I am busy with some updates. Nothing too major till we redo kitchen counter tops, hopefully by Spring. I have plenty to do before then. My chair is finished early from LB and I get it this Monday. Can't wait. I'll take pics when done for a post.

So glad you are back.
Hugs from bitter cold Texas,
Celestina Marie
