Meeting Nicholas Sparks

Recently Nicholas Sparks was back in our neck of the woods. He used to live here and wrote his first novel here, while working as a pharmaceutical rep. The Notebook became a best seller in the first week it was released. Because the locals were so supportive-- he always starts his book tours here.

He has six books that have been made into movies. You may have seen one of these:

Message in a bottle, A Walk to Remember, The Notebook, Nights in Rodanthe, Dear John and The Last Song.

Hubby and I ran over to the book signing the other day and met him. It was early and not a large crowd. Notice the girl pulling the cart with 20 books to be signed. lol They were gifts and actually it went quickly.

I can only imagine how tired his arm must have been at the end of the night.

He was talkative, friendly and very nice .
Here's the two of us.

Hubby popped into this pic.

The sponsors of the event posted this sign to keep the crowd moving faster.

This book is also in the works to be a movie. It will surely do well. It has suspense and intrique and it's moments of sadness.
What have you all been up to lately?
Thanks for your visit and taking the time to let me know you stopped by.
Till next time!

Hi Dear Friend,
Oh you are so cute pictured with NS. I am a big fan too and read all his books. What a fun day for you and your hubby. Love the pics. Great pic of you and your sweetheart too. You two are a handsome couple.

What a treat to visit your past posts too. My oh my your home is decorated gorgeous for Fall. I tell ya, it belongs in a magazine. Everything is just beautiful and so inviting, warm and cozy.

Also, loved the post about Bush's Beans. Every time I see the commerical with Duke I smile. Duke looks just like my Miss Beazy.

So enjoyed my visit and thank you for stopping by too.
Hope you have a great Fall evening. Getting cooler here finally. It's so nice!!

Blessings, Celestina Marie

Have you read all of his books? I've only read a couple and saw one or two of the movies. I wish he wouldn't write so many sad books!! I want happy!!

You are going to have to do a celebrity wall for all those pictures you have of famous people!

Thanks for all your well wishes!

Lucky you. I love those movies. I am not much of a reader though. Can't sit still that long. The Notebook is my favorite movie. I have seen it several times.

My oldest daughter works at a hotel in town and met Nicholas Sparks. She was so excited--and my youngest daughter was so jealous because she reads all of his books. My oldest daughter has a surprise for her sister for Christmas :)
