Andy Williams

We arrived in Branson, MO on our 2nd day of traveling. We had bought tickets on line to a few shows and received vouchers. We had to pick up our tickets upon arrival. The lines can be quite long the day of the show so we decided to pick them up ahead of time. Our last stop for the night was at the Andy Williams Theater. (You younger ones are probably saying who's that?) lol
It was dinner time and we noticed a restaurant with his name on it across the street. We thought we would try it.It was a nice, quiet place with very good food and pleasant staff.
Here's hubs and I outside.
To our surprise in walked Andy Williams himself. (Who knew) He looked right at us and waved. It was around 7 or 8 and we thought he would be doing a show at that time. The staff told us he comes in at some point everyday.
He was so pleasant and accommodating in letting us have our picture taken with him.
Our friends Jim and Regina were with us.

Hubby took a pic of his parking space. A guy thing, I guess.

These next few pics are from the next night at his show.

He still has a strong, clear voice that hits the high notes at 82.
He sang Moon River, of course.

He stays in shape by walking 45 minutes everyday. He still performs once a day. He is getting ready to go on tour for his new book, "Moon River and Me". It will be a Euopean tour.
I grew up watching his variety show. Many stars got their start on his show, like the Osmonds.

I hope you are enjoying beautiful weather this weekend!
Thanks for your visit and comments.

One of my favorite albums is his Christmas album. When hubby and I were first married, we needed some Christmas music. I wanted to listen to it while we were decorating our first tree. So being the wonderful husband, my hubby went out during the week and came home with the CD, "Messiah." As I opened the package my face showed my disappointment and he said, "What's wrong?" I said, "No, I wanted music like Andy Williams." He went out and bought me my favorite Christmas album and we played it first when we decorated the tree. We play it first every year and then put on "The Messiah." I love them both. Great pictures! Glad you had fun!

What a fun trip you are having. I so enjoyed catching up on all your posts of travels. I would be in heaven to see L.E. house. What a wonderful restaurant. That salad could feed an armny!!

How fun to meet Andy Williams. I remember his variety show growing up. How nice of him to take the time for a pic. He looks great!! We have been to Branson and had a wonderful time. It is an amazing place.
I bet the fall colors along the way were gorgeous.

Thanks for sharing and for stopping by. I have been so busy and not a lot of time to visit. Also have an ear infection, so not working quite up to power yet.
See you soon. Have a great week!

How exciting to see Andy Williams in person and get a great "blog" photo-op too. LOL. I'll bet his show was great as he has such a nice voice. It's nice to hear that he is still touring at 82.
