I want to pay tribute to all the men and women in the armed forces that serve our great country in one form or another. They truly do sacrifice so we can enjoy our freedom. Some pay the ultimate price to secure that for us. They are the real heroes in this world.
My father served in the army, as did my one brother and my husband. My other brother served in the Navy. Almost all my uncles served as well.
I painted a flag, with a yellow ribbon on it, for my front door many years ago when the troops went into Desert Storm and I hang it there for any patriotic holiday. I decided to do the yellow ribbon theme again in the front of the house for the soliders still on foreign soil. Here's a few pics.
