We stayed at the Maple Lodge B&B. It's located right in town so you can walk to shops and eateries. A lovely old house that has 12 rooms to rent.
Everyday was a full hot breakfast that was served at our table. This side buffet had oatmeal, muffins, breads. etc. that you could help yourself to before the breakfast was served at 8 a.m. They also put out goodies in the afternoon for all who wanted snacks.
We walked to the town square on the 4th and a Gospel group was playing.
There we are by the Gazebo in the town square.
A realtor has his business in a historical house in town. Every year he supplies the hot dogs, chili, chips, and lemonade for all and I mean all who want to eat. I don't know how he plans to have enough, not knowing how many townspeople or visitors will be there but he seemed to be feeding all who came without a problem.

Oh, this looks like a wonderful place to stay! The parade looks like it was a lot of fun too! You are making me want to go back to Blowing Rock, it's been a while since were were there.
I always think of the Mitford series books when I see and think about Blowing Rock.
Thanks for sharing the pictures!
Katherine
What a funny name! But your B&B looks wonderful and the parade looked very fun indeed! I have never stayed in a B&B before - I think it's about time!
Wanted you to know I posted the recipe for the dirt cakes on this weeks Tablescape Thursday.
Thanks for the great trip to Blow ROck. I'm going to have to look that one up! LOL
HAGD! Karen
Oh my word, what a beautiful town!!! That looks like the perfect place to spend the 4th of July! Loved the pictures and would love to visit there someday when life slows down for me!!
Looks like you had a great time...these little get aways are the best, aren't they?
Blessings,
Susie
Oh, I'm sure you had a great time! What wonderful photos. Now you look just as cute as a button and smiling and everything. :)
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Thanks for stopping by! I've been missing you guys! Looks like you had a wonderful 4th of July. What a beautiful B&B you stayed in. We had a great 4th too. Had a cookout and popped some small firecrackers in the street. Chase had a ball! Have a great weekend! Kristen
Wow! Looks beautiful there.
What a great place to spend the 4th. We usually try to get there at least once in the summer. So far we haven't made it, however. I also like to get there before Christmas. We usually just spend a day. If we ever do go for an extended stay I will keep this B&B in mind as it looks wonderful.
Thanks for your recent comments. I am long overdue for a new post, but life keeps getting in the way.
