He Did It---The National Anthem

Remember the post a few days ago when I mentioned hubby was going to sing the National Anthem at our Baseball stadium? Well, HE DID IT and did great! I'm so proud of him. The crowd seemed enthusiastic and pleased as well. He has never sung for that many people before and I'm sure he was a little nervous.
Here's my cameras all charged and ready to go. Had to do my check list, you know. Cameras, tickets, hanky etc.
One quick picture before we left.
At the stadium being told when to enter the field.

Waiting to start while the Color Guards entered the field with their flags and being introduced as an Army Veteran during the Viet Nam War.

Singing the National Anthem.
Waiting, out of respect, for the Color Guard to exit the field.

His own exit from the field. Yeh, Honey you did great!

Afterwards meeting the Manager of the Drive baseall team and the owner of the team.

Of course, I had to add a picture of Jonas, our three year old grandson who sang the whole song through with Papa from the stands.

Some of you have asked if I could download the video of him. You can view it on the following you if care to. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2uz0uueQ5KM
Thanks for dropping by... I'll be by to see you too.

Hi Rose,
Wonderful job your hubby did singing the anthem. It gave me goosebumps to hear him sing. What a talent he is and a beautiful voice. He looked so nice and makes one feel so proud that we have great Americans like your hubby, that sing with the love of our country. I know you are so proud of him and rightfully so. Beautiful. Loved the pic os Jonas too. So cute.

Your yard is gorgeous and your knockout roses doing so well. Mine are hanging on. With our triple digit temps.it has been a challenge. But they are doing good considering.
I love your sitting areas in the yard too. So inviting. You know how much I love your decorating and your yard is so relaxing.

Hope you have a great week.
Blessings to you sweet friend.
Hugs, Celestina Marie

Fabulous job! That is such a hard song to sing, and to do it acapella on top of it - great. He has a fabulous voice - does he get to use it on a regular basis?

I looked at your post on the landscaping. I took pictures of our yard year after year, and did a post last year on our 30th year - our trees are huge now and I'd sure hate to leave them behind and move!

Hey Rose, So nice to see you. I stopped by a bit ago as I had been thinking of you. Saw you had not posted yet and figured you might later today, and I would return. So sorry to hear you have been under the weather with a sore throat. No fun in the hot weather for sure. Take care and feel better soon.

Thank you for the kind comments. The water color will be so nice when framed. I am waiting for the framer to finish my chosen mattes and frame. I will post it when done.
Have a good weekend.

Hi Rose,

I certainly enjoyed hearing your hubby sing! I think we must be close to being neighbors. We live in the Simpsonville area. In fact, my husband is also a Viet Nam vet and we have many good memories from his Navy days.

I've marked your site as a favorite and will be back to check in! I don't have a blog...but I surely do enjoy reading them.

God bless,
Tee
