A Visit to York, SC

We took a little staycation to York while on the way to Brattonsville. It's a quaint, small town that has lovely shops and eateries. Here's the start of our tour at the old clock in the middle of town. We saw an antique shop right across the street from the clock and just had to go in.lol Hubby probably wishes we hadn't cuz we left with this little beauty. Actually he wanted it more than I did. lol We put it in a spare bedroom as a bedside table.

While driving through many of the streets in York we spotted this old iron work fence surrounding an old church yard.

There was an old cemetery there. We couldn't believe the dates on the grave markers. (click to enlarge.)

Some of buildings had the old shutters.

Here's a few pics of the old houses around town. I would have loved to see the inside. I'm sure some had old wood working in them.
