Last week was busy with out of town company. It was fun to see friends and be able to house them, as they were here to get two grandsons packed up from collage and return them to MI.
While they were here I got a package in the mail. It's always exciting to have one sitting on the porch waiting to be opened. Melissa from Heart and Home had a wonderful giveaway celebrating her 6 months of blogging and I was the lucky winner! She has such a wonderful, interesting blog. If you have not visited her before, you must pop over and take a look. You won't be sorry.
She had the items all wrapped in tissue and packed so nicely.
I couldn't wait to open the plaque. (She had shown it on her blog.)

It says "There's no Place Like Home" Signed Dorothy. Isn't that too cute! (enlarge by clicking)
She had a journal notebook with a "Rose" on it, a potpourri ball, two sweet love birds, and a $20 gift card to Target.

Congrats on winning Melissa's giveway and that buttermilk pie looks sooo good!
What a nice gift! And the pie looks amazing.
I am for sure going to try that buttermilk pie. A dear friend shared her recipe with me and I posted some time back. It's always interesting to me how recipes vary a bit. Thanks for sharing.

That buttermilk pecan pie is a favorite at Linderhof -- we serve it often for dessert.
