Turn the corner here to start our adventure and go back 327 yrs to Charleston, SC
Now down the lane we go lined with huge old trees on both sides. They say it is one of the most photographed roads around.
I see the plantation just ahead. North & South, Queen and other movies were filmed here.

Coming back out there is a play in progress on the front porch. She has quite the southern drawl.
Now come around the back to see the grounds with trees that are hundreds of years old.
Beautiful horses grazing on the property. Oh did I mention Ceekay is with me and tried to feed the horses.
Fort Sumter out in the water.
Of course we had to go to the Citadel and tour their museum.
I do declare if this isn't the house in the film sequel "Scarlet".
You must see Rainbow Road and the Battery with the beautiful, stately homes.
Gorgeous, just gorgeous homes.
I'm being beckoned to leave the market place and I 'm trying to bar myself in, as I really don't want to go yet. Well.... I've probably spent too much money and there's always the next trip. I hope you enjoyed your tour with me. Till next time.

Oh, I certainly you get out from behind those bars soon!! What a wonderful trip! I have never been to Charleston but would love to go sometime. What a beautiful place. That tree lined street is so lovely and the mansion! I saw that TV sequel about Scarlet and was disappointed in it. Did you like it? Thanks for popping in to see me.

Oh that was fun! I saw the scenery that Theo (Laura Child's heroine of the Tea Mystery book) as she goes for her jogs to clear her head as she tries to solve the latest murder she is working on, but not supposed to be working one. LOL! Modern day adult Nancy Drew type story. I love it.
I have never been to Charleston, but one day...
Wow... I'm so jealous. I rarely travel anywhere and I'd love to see sights like those!

I love visiting Charleston, enjoyed your tour! We went again last June and at the Marketplace I wanted to buy one of those "gate" pen and inks, but didn't :-( I keep regretting it now! I did buy the Benne Wafers (always have to get those!!) and I bought another little watercolor print of "2 Meeting Street!"

What a gorgeous, gorgeous place! That tree-lined road is beautiful, no wonder it's much photographed. I hope I can visit Charleston someday. I've seen a little bit of Memphis and Atlanta but that's about the only southern cities I've visited. Thanks for the tour!

Your Charleston pictures are gorgeous, Ro. We absolutely loved Charleston when we went there years ago. Best seafood I've ever had! We'd like to go again sometime. Such a beautiful place!
