A couple of weeks ago hubby and I went to Greenwood , SC for the Festival of Flowers. I have wanted to go for the last three years but couldn't seem to get there.
Even with the hustle and bustle of expecting company we squeezed it in.
I had heard it was amazing and I wasn't disappointed.
The first pic is of the elephant with a news reporter getting ready to film from that site.
Hubby said something funny and she was cracking up. This is her baby and if you look close enough you can see water squirting from the trunk.
The horse was so pretty!
I'm standing next to a sheep, in case you couldn't tell...lol
Check out this life size giraffe and baby. It is truly amazing to see these made from shrubs, flowers and grasses!

What fun sculptures to see! Someone is so talented- it's all I can do to keep my plants ALIVE! LOL
You two make the rounds and have such fun together. :-) Sue
Beautiful sculptures... Love the ones of the cars... they look perfect... !!
Oh how beautiful! What a great event to visit...Christine
It never ceases to amaze me how talented some folks can be - like sand castle artists and float makers and, now, flower sculptors!! Just love it!!
Have been catching up on blogs - and well you were on hiatus as well:) Glad you are posting again! Hope you are enjoying a wonderful summer!!
I'm always fascinated by the shapes they can make shrubbery into. Gardeners can certainly be artists in their own right. They are beautiful!

Wow, those are really works of art! So fun to see from afar -- thanks for sharing! Thanks, too, for your kind comments on my table this week.
Hi Girl,
Oh I love this post with the gorgeous sculptures. The car and truck are really something. But I love the horse and elephant too. Great pics and so glad you are having a wonderful summer with outings and family visits.
Very HOT HOT here and everyday for the last 13 it has been over 100 degrees. 18 total days so far of 100 plus. Hottest June/July weather recorded since 1980 here in North Texas. We need some rain.
I sure missed you.
XO Celestina Marie
Loved seeing these! What fun!
