Armed Forces Day

Today is Armed Forces Day and we got out our decorations for the front of the house. Memorial Day is right around the corner, too.

We pray often for those men and women who are serving in our Armed Forces to keep us safe and give aid to us in times of disaster.! We thank each and every one of them for putting their lives on the line for us each day!We both come from a long line of military men in our family! We give thanks to our uncles, brothers and of course, my hubby for their service to our great country!

I love America and am so grateful to be an American! Sounds like Lee Greenwood's song. lol But it is so true!

The flowers are exploding around here!

So what are you up to this weekend?

Look how green your grass is! Ours is brown from lack or rain. Pretty yard.

Thanks for this reminder to send up prayers of thankfulness for our brave military men & women. Your yard looks so nice ~ patriotic, neat as a pin and pretty.
I love your glass gazing ball. Did you find it locally?
We spent our day buying and planting more flowers. It's starting to heat up around here. We also bought a lounge chair for the patio, so hope to put it to good use once the work is done :).

Looking very patriotic! Hmmm, maybe I should come back for a summer trip. Hubby just bought me a new piece of luggage. It is orange!

Your yard looks so lush and pretty! And not to mention, patriotic! Your front bedding plants looks so nice in that dark mulch. Don't you just hate when it fades? We just had our front re-landscaped and the mulch still smells good, as do the lilac bushes that were put in. aaahhh.... spring, at last!

I want to come and sit with you on your porch Rose, and view your beautiful yard, what a fantastic job you and your dh have done in your landscaping.

Thank you for honoring our military men and women, and for praying for them, our grandson Will is over seas now in a hotspot of turmoil.
Enjoy your day.

Hi Dear Friend,
I love the USA too and always love to share our love for country with the outside decor. In fact we keep our Flag up year round with a spotlite of course for proper flag etiquette.

I love your house decked out for Saturday and the upcoming patriotic holidays. We are so thankful to our family members too who served to keep us free.

Your flowers are gorgeous and I just love your wicker on the porch. Such a cozy spot to relax and watch the world go by.
Hope you have a nice Sunday.
Thank you for stopping by. I am doing much better and enjoying our warm weather, rain, and looking forward to Memorial weekend.

Hugs and blessings always,
Celestina Marie

I always appreciate when we boldly acknowledge our armed forces. Thank you for sharing. My husband, my son, and my dog were all born on May 30. My weekend is pretty much set. Cherry Kay

Hi Rose, Just have to tell you again how beautiful your home and yard are-I just love your landscaping and design. I've got to put out all my patriot decorations later this week when it stops raining. Still haven't done all my planting because of all of our storms.
Thanks for sharing your grateful heart for service men&women and I echo my thanks to those who faithful sacrifice so much for us.
Hugs, Noreen

My nephew who just graduated from West Point a year ago just now finished Ranger training - he is an amazing young man. His brand new wife went to Office Candidate School while he was gone to his training. They'll be together day after tomorrow after many months.

Our spring flowers are ending and the lily of the valley and iris are coming on strong. So beautiful.
