Pansies are looking great and will for a little while longer. This Bradford pear is slowly turning green.
We had friends that were down from MI, escaping the winter months. They were staying in NC about an hour from us. A friend had arranged for them to stay in a home that no one has lived in but with the slow economy wasn't selling. We drove up to take a peek and spend the day with them.
It has wonderful potential for the right buyers.
Someone loaned them some furniture for the 3 months they stayed in it, but other rooms were bare.
It has 8 fireplaces! Yes, five inside and three outside. Front staircase that leads up and one down to the basement. There are front and back staircases. One off the kitchen that goes up and one down for the basement.
It has a deck on all three levels.
This one is off the main level.
You can see a little of the upper level and the fireplace there.
It's on a lake and golf course. In this community they have a Gary Player and Tiger Wood golf course. They lend their name and helped design them.
Another house across the lake.
Well, we are on our way out the gate now. The nice guard had to clear us to get in.
This community is way up the mountain and we were headed back when I saw these two guys on horse back. I told hubby I had never seen someone go for pizza on horseback before.

O.k so if I could have a winter get away this house would be it; hubby would love it on the lake and with the golf course and it just looks wonderful-oh well. A girl can dream can't she?
Loved seeing the guys riding with pizza and also the emu's. I know we'd have so much fun if we lived near you!
Hugs, Noreen
Geez, things are pretty boring around here compared to emus, pizza dinners on horseback and houses with 8 fireplaces!! LOL.
I did enjoy seeing it all through your blog, though.
It sure was a coincidence about the strawberry-rhubarb pie yesterday. Hope you are enjoying yours.
Half of the garage is clean! That is what is happening!!
WOW! Aren't you glad you take your camera with you everywhere you go! What a fabulous house and gorgeous view! And the cowboys with pizza is just too much! Love the emus, too! What a fun day! Lots to blog about! I'm sewing this weekend..which is nice for a change! ♥
Hi Rose! Is that what they call a tulip tree in your first snap!
Oh, my what a lovely house your friends were staying in! Look at that kitchen! I love it.
Pizza on horseback - gotta love it! :)
Be a sweetie,

Thanks Rose. I've seen some of them around here and was told they were tulip trees! They are so very pretty!
Have a great weekend.

OMG that home is just stunning! Thanks for sharing, I loved the pics! And I am so super jealous of the spring pics! We are so behind this year it's just about driving me crazy!
And your bunnies below are super cute and the mantel is gorgeous!
I am so glad to get caught up on your blog, you always have such lovely pics!
For some reason you don't show up in my dashboard so I don't know when your new post comes up.
So glad you came by to remind me!
Hugs,
Cindy
Oh and my Mom is a published writer. She has written 3 books and has had numerous columns in local papers and magazines.
Morning girl...beautiful home it does have alot of potential and love the views and who could ask for more than Emus and pizza all at the same time...lol Thanks for coming by hope you have a glorious Sunday...Picket
Hi Rose,
What a grand house and you are right, so much decorating potential. I would love to get my hands on that blank canvas and decorate. How fabulous for your friends to be able to stay there on a get away.
Loved the guys on horse back bringing home there pizza. Too cute and with gas prices, they probably have the right idea.
The emu is a gorgeous bird.
Sounds like a fun day. Your flowers are beautiful. My saucer magnolias looked the same and now all the green leaves on them are full and pretty. Knockouts all in bloom this morning. Gives one a lift for sure.
Love your header.

Oh, the places you'll and the things you can see.....love the little adventures in life:)
WOW!!! That house is amazing!!! Absolutely beautiful. Thank you so much for visiting my blog and leaving such sweet comments. To answer your question that you left...No I don't have a Home Goods store near me I sure wished I did. I've heard great things about it. I live on the South Carolina Georgia state line. I'm sure you've heard of the Masters Golf Tournament. Well I live right outside of Augusta. So we're not to far away from each other. Hope you have a great week.
Spring Blessings,
Dana
Wow! What a great deal for your friends. I am sure you enjoyed having them close.
Our trees have not started blooming yet, the weather here is fierce. Seeing yours is making me long, even more, for spring to finally arrive here in MI.
Hope all is well with you and yours.
xoxo,
Sue
What a house! what a treat to be able to visit this Rose.
And that staircase, wow!
Spring is slowly but surely coming forth here too .
Loved the post on your decorations, so pretty, and today I plan to do some, that is if I can get off this computer. lol.
Thanks for your thoughts and prayers for Will.
Hugs, Sue
