My friend Regina started a shoot for me last year and I planted it. Thanks Regina!
I cut it to make fresh brewed mint tea. It taste s00000000 good!
Just wash it good and it's ready to use.
Add it to a pot of water and 3 family size tea bags and bring to a boil. Remove from heat and let it brew for a while. Mix with sugar to sweeten according to your taste. I use almost a cup for a gallon. We LOVE sweet tea in the South!
One day recently, I decided to have a quick, simple lunch on the patio for hubby and me.
It was a beautiful day in the neighborhood, I can't believe I just said that. Mr. Rogers would be proud. lol
I quickly whipped up some chicken salad , sliced some carrots and tomatoes and voile.
I almost forgot to garnish my tea with a sprig of mint. There--just the right touch.
My dishes, place mats, napkins and glasses are JC Penny
Napkin rings are Pottery Barn

That is a beautiful table. I'm growing Mint so I'm going to try your tea receipe. Looks like your lunch was scrumptious.
This is so pretty! Such festive colors. I love the look of your blog, too.

Beautiful setting, love the orange plates! I love mint tea, but usually just put it in the glass, next time I'll try it your way! Thanks for showing us this!

So fresh and beautiful. Perfect tablescape and perfect tea.
So perfect for summer Rose! I adore the orange. It is the happiest of all the colors they say. Gorgeous! *Smiles*

Looks so inviting, hope you don't mind if I pull up a chair and join you? Love the orange plates!
What a inviting setting for lunch. Your plates are gorgeous and can take you right into Fall.
Your pot of Mint is beautiful. I love to add it to tea as well, but never brewed it this way. Sounds so good. I planted mint this year, but with the heat, it did not make it. I'll try again.
Thanks for stopping by. The title is actually a book, not a magazine. Wish it was though. It would be inspiring all year long.
Hope you are having a great week.
I forgot, when do you leave? or are you back? I am so busy this week, can't keep all the details straight! LOL
Hugs, Celestina Marie
Beautiful table...♥♥♥ all the orange!
What a lovely colorful table!
I didn't know the chain of Christmas Tree Shops had moved to SC! They used to only here on the East coast. I should buy stock in them, I sure spend a lot there! :)
What a fun lunch table! I really love the shape and color of those orange dishes. They are great with those striped napkins!
I love those dishes. Your menu sounds great and summery. I have a pot of mint on my patio and clip it off for recipes. Iced tea sounds good!
I love those orange dishes! I keep trying to resist orange dishes but I am finding I am losing my resolve when I see yours. Your lunch looks perfect in that setting.
Love your table...the colors are luscious!! Like a citrus fruit salad!!
(I also love your "sons-in-law" usage! It's so often written incorrectly-I'm bit of a grammar nut)
Your table is so pretty, I love your dishes! Mary
I had some lemon mint tea at a baby shower once. Think she made the mint tea and then add a can of frozen lemonade concentrate. It was delicious. The Busy Beaver cbeavers.blogspot.com
How delicious the tangerine looks. Thanks for the mint tips too..
